ARTIST STATEMENT
I want to crane my neck to see something huge, small, close, distant, there and not there. I want to take it and put it down. I want to stop and start. I want to lift and carry it growing weary. I want to trace edges on the back of my hand. I want to surrender to light, dark, rough, soft, heavy, hard, quiet, loud, smooth, hue, concrete, and nonmaterial. I want to explore the middle of lines. I want to go in between, exert the simple, follow angles, find where the inside meets the outside of the landscape and return. I want to bear witness.
